Highlights from
#GFCUCares efforts in 2025:

$2,786 raised

GFCU staff and members donated $2,786 for the Communities in Schools’ Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive, plus hundreds of individual school supply items.

$19,703 raised

Through the 2025 Corporate Cup Charity Challenge, #GFCUCares raised $19,703 for San Antonio Sports, Boys & Girls Club of San Antonio, Haven for Hope, San Antonio Food Bank and South Texas Blood & Tissue. Our team also saved 123 lives through blood donations, collected 525 hygiene items and 262 lbs of food (providing $34,646.22 in meals).

$18,159 raised

We raised $18,159+ in donations for The Blood Cancer United – South Central Texas Light the Night 2025 Walk to celebrate survivors, support those battling blood cancer, and remember loved ones lost to blood cancer.

1,081 books donated

The Rising Leaders cohort collected 1,081 books for the Texas YES – Little Lockers Program, filling 36 little lockers across our community.

316 Volunteer Hours

All of our departments kicked off #GFCUServes in September at Haven for Hope, Meals on Wheels, and the San Antonio Food Bank. We have enjoyed the opportunity to go out with our teams and give back to the community and members whom we serve.

92 meals

We once again delivered Thanksgiving meals to all fire stations, police substations, downtown police Bike Patrol, and Dispatch as part of our 13th Annual Turkey Express.
